Quality Management is an integral and inherent part of ensuring the smooth continuum of care for patients - informed, involved patients who understand and participate in their care.
We strive to ensure the ultimate goal of safeguarding patient centred care and maintaining a powerful quality and safety agenda. This is achieved through regular review of all hospital activities and audit of systems / processes hospital wide in line with national guidance and through communication / interaction with key stakeholders all striving towards the same goals.
Communication with our external partners is also of great significance to us. We regularly liaise with GPs in the area and Public Health Nurses on mutual areas of interest. A Patient Service User Forum has also been established in the hospital which provides valuable information and opinion on aspects of patients experience whilst in The National Maternity Hospital. We hope that all of these links will continue to be successful and grow to foster an open and productive environment.
All patients deserve high quality healthcare and patients views and experiences are integral to improvement efforts. We encourage all of our patients to provide any suggestions or comments to staff when they visit the hospital.
Our goal is to provide you and your family with an outstanding service - and to continually improve upon that service.
We welcome all opportunities to improve our service. That’s why your feedback and suggestions are so important to us.
Contact us and tell us what you think.
