Our NMH Digital Learning Group have been working hard to bring you as many of our traditional classes online, through a series of educational modules to help you on your journey through pregnancy and afterwards, arming you with knowledge, confidence and peace of mind.
Our multidisciplinary team have collated information about COVID-19 and pregnancy, how to keep healthy during pregnancy, labour and childbirth, caring for you and your baby after birth and expecting the unexpected during pregnancy. Overtime, we will be updating each, please keep checking back to look at it again. We hope you will find these resources helpful and please do let us know what you think!
Antenatal Education / Parent Craft Classes
Our Antenatal Education (Parent Craft Education) team in The National Maternity Hospital play an essential role in promoting, helping and maintaining good health in pregnancy and beyond. We aim to help prepare our patients and their partners for labour and the changes and challenges that their new baby will bring to their lives. We know that a positive birthing experience can positively affect a woman’s long term wellbeing, and we aim to empower women and their partners to believe in themselves through a partnership approach.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we have had to cancel all on-site classes until further notice. We fully appreciate how important these classes are for expectant Mums. While the restricions remain in place, please see http://www.nmh.ie/pregnancy/antenatal-education-preparation.13609.html for alternative online supports and resources.
We very much hope to welcome you back to The NMH in the near future. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact Susan Doyle firstname.lastname@example.org / Nicola Jordan email@example.com or call (01) 637 3499 should you wish to book into one of our antenatal webinars or if we can be of any further asssitance.
