MUMA: Minding yoU and Me Always
The Postnatal Hubs provide community midwifery-led care for women and babies with expert, compassionate support for your wellbeing, both mind and body, after the birth of your baby.
We offer scheduled midwifery-led appointments as well as group sessions with other new parents to share support, experiences, and postnatal education during the first six weeks after birth.
Physiotherapy is also available through group education sessions, exercise classes, and individual appointments, accessible for up to six months postnatally. With the right care, you’ll feel strong, empowered, and ready for this new chapter of life.
You can self-refer to the service; we are happy to see you about any non-urgent concerns you may have and referrals can be easily made by phone or email. If you do have an urgent concern, please contact your GP or maternity hospital.
In addition, we have a dedicated phone service that you can call if you experience any issues or need advice. Clinics will run on a fixed appointment basis, and as space allows, we hope to introduce a drop-in option in the future.
Our hubs are based in Primary Care Centres in Arklow, Wicklow and Shankill. This is a collaboration between the National Maternity Hospital, the Coombe and the Rotunda, any woman who has had their baby in these hospitals may attend any of the hubs.
Opening Date and Further Details to follow.
