The National Maternity Hospital is delighted to open its doors to the public for an evening of art and history as part of Culture Night Dublin 2024.
The National Maternity Hospital’s historic boardroom will be open on the night, as hospital staff take guests on a unique art and history journey, exploring the hospital through key moments in Irish history. The iconic main complex was completed in the late 1930’s, built on a row of Georgian houses and including the former Antrim House. Step into this remarkable building, where every corner tells a story. Explore the unique collection of art while discovering the rich past of the hospital which is intertwined with the 1916 rising, literary giant James Joyce and the Hospital Sweepstakes!
Entrance to the hospital for Culture Night 2024 will be via the Mount Street entrance facing Merrion Square North.
