The National Maternity Hospital welcomes the announcement by Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly T.D, of Government approval to go to tender for the construction of the new National Maternity Hospital at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Elm Park.
Commenting the Master of The National Maternity Hospital, Professor Shane Higgins said “Today’s announcement brings real momentum to this crucial project which is an extremely positive step forward for women’s healthcare in Ireland. The provision of a purpose built maternity, gynaecology and neonatal hospital will significantly enhance healthcare provision for women and newborns. The National Maternity Hospital team look forward to working with St Vincent’s University Hospital, the HSE and the Department of Health to progress this essential new facility”.
