What Our Staff Say

CNM2 Neonatal Nurse, 12 years

I joined the NMH in 2006.  After working in the middle east for 8 years I was looking for a change and a bit of an adventure too.  The scientific understanding of the preterm infants has increased the complexities of caring for infants on the edge and viability required a need for neonatal nurses who are trained to maintain quality and continuity of care.  Hence, I joined the PG Diploma in neonatal intensive care followed by a Masters in Neonatal Nursing.  Constant encouragement, support and awards achieved during the years, have further encouraged me to involve myself in research projects and further upgrading my professional status from staff nurse to CNM2.  It is also challenging to be a part of the National Neonatal Transport Programme, wherein we transport the sick infants from the regional hospitals to the tertiary care referral centre by road and air.

NMH Team Member, 10 years

Working at the National Maternity Hospital means putting the patient first.  I've been here 10 years and I have always loved the way in which patients are at the centre of everything we do.  There is also a genuine sense of "family" among the people who work here.

NMH Team Member, 6 years

There are alway new oportunities for upgrading your skills and everyone is so willing to help you do your best. Its is one of the nicest workplace environments I have ever come across and even after 6 years, I still feel proud when I tell people about the work I do in the hospital.

NMH Team Member, 20 years

I have been part of the NMH family for many years and due to the great career and training opportunities available to staff I have progressed to a management position.  The flexible working conditions and team spirit throughout the Hospital have greatly enhanced my time here.
